NUMSA has filed a S77(1)(d) notice with NEDLAC advising of their intention to encourage workers to participate in a socio-economic strike on 14 October 2015 against corruption and to conduct rallies, marches, demonstrations and pickets. Effectively this means that this would be deemed to be a protected strike.
This follows on COSATU’s notice of their planned protest action, including a socio-economic strike on 7 October 2015, to protest against the state of public transport.
