Congratulations to India on winning the World Cup. They have shown us with the right team, teamwork and “gees”, anything is possible. What they had shown up to this point is the importance of everyone in the squad contributing both on and off the field.
Organisations, ours included, are the same as sports teams – everyone has a role to play and one piece of ill-discipline can cost the team the Cup.
Whilst in individual sports, as in our colleague Kim’s run, it is imperative to be self-disciplined, focussed and ensuring personal performance, an organisation has to realise that it doesn’t matter if an individual gets a proverbial century or if the captain is doing well – if the team loses these count for nought.
