After being injured in an accident while off duty, the employee was booked off work for three months by a company-appointed doctor. The employee failed to report for duty at the end of this period, and remained away from work for a further three months. When he eventually reported for duty, the employee presented another certificate from the same doctor who had booked him off for the further period, but was told that he had been dismissed for incapacity.
