TAWUSA (Transport and Allied Workers Union of South Africa), PTWU (Professional Transport Workers Union of South Africa) and MTWU (Motor Transport Workers Union) have notified the CCMA and employers that they are suspending their strike action effective from 16:00 on 9 October 2012 to enable employers and employees to make logistic arrangements to resume business as usual from 10 October 2012 onwards. Unfortunately the dispute has not yet been resolved but the aforementioned unions and employers will now continue with further negotiations until the matter is finally resolved with the assistance of the CCMA and Department of Labour. Unfortunately SATAWU members are still participating in the strike action.
