In essence, what will be taking place is a socio-economic protest against the e-tolling process.
What will be occurring is : rallies at or near SANRAL offices; engagement of motorists as well as a call on motorists not to buy e-tags.
This protest action is due to take place during working hours for the duration of the period listed above.
After this action, COSATU will review the process and have reserved the right to amend its action.
It is important to note that this process has gone through the correct channels and as such, any employee who participates in the action cannot be subject to disciplinary action.
It is thus critical that business has contingency plans in place and further, engage with a Temporary Employment Service provider to ensure a readily available provision of labour.
