NUMSA has rejected the multiple year wage settlement proposed by employers.  The employers reportedly offered 10% for the first year, 9.5% in the second year and 9% for the third.  NUMSA members have rejected this offer and will continue to strike in support of  their demand of a 10% increase agreement.

According to media reports, General Secretary Irvin Jim indicated that if a three year agreement is to be agreed upon, the increase percentage for each year must be at least 10%.
