The National Treasury promulgated the long-awaited revised regulations to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act last week. The revised Regulations are now aligned with the aims of the Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act and its associated Codes of Good Practice.
The new regulations will come into effect from 7 December 2011 which means that public entities have 6 months to understand and apply the new rules.
