The National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) has called upon their more than 220 000 members in the engineering and metals industry to down tools from Tuesday, 1 July, in support of their demand for a double digit wage increase.
Numsa is also considering a strike at Eskom along with another affiliate from the Congress of SA Trade Unions, the National Union of Mineworkers.
