About The Event

The Skills Development Facilitation Practitioner Programme is an accredited Occupational Skills Programme (SP-220321, NQF 5, 40 Credits) designed to equip HR, Training, and Skills Development professionals with the competencies required to manage skills development planning in a highly regulated environment. This intensive 5-day programme prepares delegates to conduct learning needs analyses, align organisational training with legislative requirements, and administer SDF processes essential for Mandatory Grant submissions.


The programme develops capabilities needed to support organisational learning within a regulatory framework that is “highly regulated and constantly changing” and is especially relevant for learners in HRM or human development roles responsible for driving effective workplace learning strategies.


Programme Structure

Knowledge Modules:

  • The statutory learning & development environment

  • Workplace learning & development planning, evaluation & reporting


Practical Modules:

  • Plan, conduct, and report on a Learning & Development Needs Analysis


Workplace Module:

  • Conduct SDF processes required for Mandatory Grant payments


Compulsory FISA (Final Integrated Supervised Assessment):

  • Conducted by the Skills Development Provider

  • Integrates the required exit-level outcomes into a final written assessment


Workplace Support Requirements:

The brochure specifies (page 1) that organisations must designate a workplace mentor to guide the learner, verify their logbook, and provide access to experiential learning opportunities. This includes:

  • Providing exposure to all areas covered in the programme

  • Support from a Subject Matter Expert in employment relations

  • Completion of a Workplace MOU by the employer


Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • NQF Level 4 with Communication
