About The Event

The Skills Development Facilitation Practitioner Programme is an accredited Occupational Skills Programme (SP-220321, NQF 5, 40 Credits) designed to equip HR, Training, and Skills Development professionals with the competencies required to manage skills development planning in a highly regulated environment. This intensive 5-day programme prepares delegates to conduct learning needs analyses, align organisational training with legislative requirements, and administer SDF processes essential for Mandatory Grant submissions.


The programme develops capabilities needed to support organisational learning within a regulatory framework that is “highly regulated and constantly changing” and is especially relevant for learners in HRM or human development roles responsible for driving effective workplace learning strategies.


Programme Structure

Knowledge Modules:

  • The statutory learning & development environment

  • Workplace learning & development planning, evaluation & reporting


Practical Modules:

  • Plan, conduct, and report on a Learning & Development Needs Analysis


Workplace Module:

  • Conduct SDF processes required for Mandatory Grant payments


Compulsory FISA (Final Integrated Supervised Assessment):

  • Conducted by the Skills Development Provider

  • Integrates the required exit-level outcomes into a final written assessment


Workplace Support Requirements:

The brochure specifies (page 1) that organisations must designate a workplace mentor to guide the learner, verify their logbook, and provide access to experiential learning opportunities. This includes:

  • Providing exposure to all areas covered in the programme

  • Support from a Subject Matter Expert in employment relations

  • Completion of a Workplace MOU by the employer


Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • NQF Level 4 with Communication

He has since been involved in facilitating Employment Equity, Diversity, and Disability Awareness for various companies such as Liberty, BMW, Tiger Brands, Glencore, Makro, and Airbus Southern Africa. Lwandile has assisted in initiating human resources programs and projects, by conducting research through various methods and identifying problems; creating solutions, and giving advice to resolve day-to-day HR issues. Lwandile brings an enthusiastic and modern approach to his facilitating and is fluent in English, isiXhosa, and isiZulu.


Courtenay Botha

AI and Business Consultant for Global Business Solutions

Courtenay Botha, is a forward-thinking professional, who leverages AI to drive business solutions and transform processes. As a thought leader, she shares insights on AI in human resources and business operations. She has not only completed her own SDF certification but has also trained on this subject and successfully helped other delegates become SDFs under her guidance and training.



Tapiwa Chagonda

Consultant

Tapiwa facilitates and consults within the transformational space, from Employment Equity to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. He plays a crucial role in aiding clients in submitting Mandatory and Discretionary Grants to SETA's and boasts a 100% success rate in successful submissions.
