This is a practical session that will enable learners to understand the law, implement its provisions, assess compliance, engage in best practices across the employment lifecycle and benchmark using the EE Commission Report and proposed sector targets. The learners will understand the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders.
COURSE OUTLINE- Overview of the EE Act, its regulations and other transformation enablers (SDA and BBBEE)
- Insight into the proposed amendments to the EE Act in 2021 and its impact on Certificates of Compliance and tenders
- The roles and responsibility of the EE Committee, Management, Board (Social and Ethics Committee & Risk board member)
- Sectoral target setting and consultation requirements for Employment Equity Plans
- Procedural and substantive compliance flow diagrams
- Statutory requirements of all employers including liability under s60
- The imminent Code on violence and harassment
- Development of relevant equity related plans and policies
- Important definitions for persons with disabilities
