About The Event

AI & the Future of Work: The CHRO Roadmap

From Thought Leadership to Operating Model

AI is no longer a future-of-work conversation. It is already changing how organisations structure jobs, allocate work, develop skills and evaluate leadership capability.

According to the programme, 56% of CHROs already say AI is reshaping work within their organisations. The question for HR is therefore no longer whether work will change, but whether HR will deliberately redesign it—or be forced to respond after the change has already happened.

AI & the Future of Work: The CHRO Roadmap is a practical, 3-hour CPD webinar designed specifically for CHROs, HR leaders and Organisational Development professionals who need to move beyond AI awareness and begin building an operating model for the AI-enabled workplace.

The session focuses on the organisational decisions sitting behind successful AI adoption: which roles should change, which tasks should be automated, where human judgement must remain, how AI capability should be sourced, what governance is required, and how leaders themselves need to evolve.

Rather than treating AI as an IT project, this webinar positions it firmly

on the HR and workforce strategy agenda.

What the webinar covers

Is AI actually making work better?

Examine the evidence on how AI is already changing jobs, roles and skills—and how organisations can determine whether AI adoption is improving work or simply increasing speed and workload.

Redesign jobs, not just tasks

Explore a practical human-AI operating model built around three questions:

  • What should AI handle?

  • Where must humans lead?

  • What must leaders enable?

Learn how to rethink entire roles and workflows rather than simply automating isolated tasks.

Buy, blend or build your AI capability?

Not every organisation needs the same AI strategy. Learn how to evaluate whether AI capabilities should be purchased, combined with existing systems and expertise, or developed internally—and how to make these decisions intentionally.

Responsible AI governance

Understand how to embed AI governance, risk management and accountability directly into the operating model rather than treating governance as an afterthought.

The session helps HR leaders build a defensible basis for AI sourcing, adoption and oversight that can be explained confidently to executives, boards, IT and Legal.

Leadership in the AI-enabled workplace

The role of a leader changes when humans and AI increasingly work together.

Explore the shift from simply managing people to orchestrating human and AI performance, and consider which leadership competencies organisations need to develop as AI adoption accelerates.

The programme notes that 86% of HR leaders believe leadership competencies need to be updated for AI.

Build future-fit AI capability

Learn a structured approach to organisational AI learning, including five elements of future-fit learning and four capability levels progressing from AI Aware to AI Leader.

This gives HR and L&D teams a framework for developing AI capability across different levels of the organisation rather than relying on one-size-fits-all AI training.

Turn AI adoption into an operating rhythm

Explore the ERA model – Establish, Reinforce, Align – for operationalising AI adoption and moving from isolated experimentation to structured organisational implementation.

The framework feeds into a practical 12-month CHRO roadmap for implementing AI across roles, leadership, capability, governance and workforce strategy.

Why should HR leaders attend?

This is HR's agenda, not simply IT's.

The people implications of AI—including job redesign, skills, workload, leadership, governance, workforce risk and organisational capability—sit directly within the HR mandate.

Delegates will receive practical tools that can be used immediately, including frameworks for:

  • Role and job redesign

  • AI use-case evaluation

  • Decision matrices

  • AI risk assessment

  • Governance

  • AI sourcing decisions

  • Leadership capability development

  • Organisational AI readiness

  • Phased implementation planning

The session also tackles a common AI implementation problem: introducing technology that accelerates work while quietly increasing employee workload, complexity or burnout.

What will delegates leave with?

Delegates leave with a practical AI roadmap for HR leaders, including a 12-month phased implementation plan and a ready-to-use toolkit for:

  • Redesigning roles around human and AI strengths

  • Sourcing AI responsibly

  • Governing AI use

  • Building workforce capability

  • Developing AI-ready leaders

  • Leading organisational adoption

The objective is to help HR move from discussing the future of work to actively designing how that future will operate.

Who should attend?

This webinar is designed for:

  • Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs)

  • HR Executives and Directors

  • HR Business Partners

  • Employee and Industrial Relations leaders

  • Learning & Development professionals

  • Organisational Development practitioners

  • People and Culture leaders

  • Executives responsible for workforce transformation and AI adoption
