About The Event

Financial decision-making is no longer the domain of finance alone—today’s managers must understand the numbers behind their operations. This programme equips non-financial managers with the essential financial knowledge and analytical tools needed to interpret financial information, plan effectively, and support organisational sustainability.

The course introduces the scope of financial management, emphasising planning, controlling financial resources, and maintaining liquidity and solvency. Delegates will explore the accounting cycle, learn how to read and interpret the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, and understand how financial information influences operational decisions.

The session also covers critical disciplines such as financial accounting, cost accounting, and the impact of economic and policy decisions on financial performance. Managers are introduced to practical tools—including ratio analysis, trend analysis, and financial forecasting techniques—to help them make informed, data-driven decisions that align with organisational goals.

By the end of the workshop, delegates will walk away with a strong, usable foundation in financial principles, empowering them to interpret financial results, manage budgets, support strategic initiatives, and contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s financial health.
