About The Event

B-BBEE Free 2026 Series - Session 4: Building Black Business Ecosystems (Enterprise & Supplier Development)

Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) is about creating ecosystems where black-owned businesses thrive. This session will focus on how mentorship, funding, and procurement opportunities can strengthen small enterprises and integrate them into larger supply chains. We’ll discuss case studies of successful partnerships and explore how supporting black entrepreneurs drives innovation, job creation, and economic resilience. Empowerment here is systemic—it builds networks that sustain transformation across industries.

A thriving black business ecosystem also requires collaboration across sectors and long-term commitment. This session will highlight how corporates, government, and financial institutions can work together to remove barriers, provide access to markets, and create sustainable growth pathways for black-owned enterprises. By fostering inclusive networks and ensuring consistent support, businesses can help build resilient supply chains that not only meet compliance requirements but also contribute to a more equitable economy. The result is a transformation model where empowerment is embedded in everyday business practice, driving prosperity for generations to come.
